Look for floating decorations

You’ll find plenty of great floating decorations available that you can put in your poolto create a Christmas display. From a stunning illuminated Christmas tree, to a fun inflatable snowman, the choice is yours! Floating candles will look so pretty but do opt for battery powered candles if you have inflatables in your pool to avoid an accident. Battery candles will also not blow out if it’s a little windy. Light up the pool area

When it comes to Christmas time, there’s really no such thing as too many lights, so why not string lights all around the pool edge, they’ll reflect in the water and look so gorgeous. Then look around you garden and see what else you can decorate. Trees, bushes, fences, you can even decorate the garden shed and transform it into Santa’s grotto!

Go oversized

Small ornaments can look great indoors, but outside they’ll fade into insignificance. When it comes to outdoor Christmas decorations, bigger is better so don’t be scared to go large. How about a life size reindeer, a row of giant candy canes or a huge inflatable Santa? 

Prepare a beautiful seating area

Your decorated pool area will look gorgeous when viewed from indoors, but it will be even more magical if you can relax outside in comfort and take it all in at your leisure. So set the scene and make a comfortable and warm area in which to enjoy your festive poolwinter wonderland. Add extra cushions and warm blankets to your outdoor chairs, consider using a patio heater to ensure the area is warm and comfortable on even the chilliest of nights, and how about getting an outdoor speaker to play some festive tunes to get everyone in the Christmas spirit? Hand out warm mince pies and glasses of mulled wine and you have the perfect winter party.
